Web Photos |
Send
in your webs! I have heaps of photos of spiders, but very few of
webs, so send them in!
I'll pick a
"WEB OF THE MONTH "
or maybe year going by the lack of photos at present, and feature it
in larger size. There are 2 types of spiders, the hunting spiders
like the wolf spiders and tarantulas and the web spinning spiders
like the Argiopes and Garden Orb Weavers. All spiders can spin silk
but only the web spinning spiders spin webs for their homes.
Many thanks for allowing me to use these photos. All photos are
copyright to their owners and may not be reproduced without
permission.

Love your website!!! We come across so many spiders in and
around this house and we are scared to death of spiders, but I
always try to take pictures to try to identify them later.
Amazingly enough, we never knew this web existed until it was
dark outside! Any way, I know you enjoy web pictures, so here
you go enjoy! And if anyone else wants to use this picture for
any reason, they are welcome to it. Brandi

Alright. Now I think I am fascinated by spiders...I now
do respect them way more than I used to...specially after I got
bit. But oh well, this email is to send you a few pictures I
have in my archives taken by me. I love photography, so
hopefully now that I'll be more on the look out for spiders, I
will be able to send you more good ones.
Here's my humble contribution for your web site. Expect
more... Best regards,
Carolina LaBranche

Glen,
How about this web? Could this be a US Hobo Spider
funnel web? I seem
to have several of these funnel shaped webs outside my
house in Provo Utah.
Thanks

Hello Glen,
Here are two pictures from me. I am not sure if they
are good enough for your site. You are welcome to
publish them. Have a great day,
Julia

25 April, 2006:
I took a picture of this spider near El Careyes , Mexico on the Pacific coast and his web looked exactly as if it
were spun out of a golden thread. At first I thought it
must be covered in pollen, so I touched the web and
rubbed it gently, but nothing came off on my fingers. Do
you know what this spider is? It was a beautful thing to
see. Thank you, Lynn Ulrey
